Since opening Cactus Canyon, a 720-acre clothing-optional campground for gay men near Springfield, Mo in 1999 co-owner Charles "Chaz" Franzke and James Thideman imagination they had seen it all. Their neighbors, they said, had thrown refuges and eggs at them, vandalized their signs, threatened them, and routinely fired gunshot at their property

Thideman and Franzke filed a lawsuit in March claiming five of their neighbors have conspired to drive them distant from their property. "They thought that if they irritated us enough, we would give up" said Thideman. "But absolutely not. This is what we want to do for the stay of our lives."
