In Organon's introductory ad campaign for its hormone-emitting birth-control device, the emphasis is onward convenience. The main message: Pregnancy prevention without having to interrupt passion or explosion a pill each day.

The device, called NuvaRing and available by way of prescription only, is a flexible, plastic ring that a woman inserts into her vagina one time a month.
